We are seeking a Business Development Representative to help drive CircleUp Credit’s lending product. We are looking for someone who excels in a fast-paced environment with the creativity and resiliency to deliver results and solve ambiguous problems. The ideal candidate will be excited at the prospect of defining the Business Development role with us, as we build out this brand new business unit.

Specific Responsibilities:

-Work within our newly formed Credit team to build our credit portfolio and refine the sales process

-Manage an active pipeline of leads supplied by Helio

-Generate new business with clear and effective communication to prospects

-Stay nimble and roll with the inevitable hiccups that come with new product development

-Cold-call prospecting using consultative phone skills, including the ability to clearly articulate, inspire, project confidence, influence, overcome objections, and remain resilient throughout

Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree

-1-2 years experience in a sales / business development role

-Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles, terminology and concepts

-Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills

-Clear communicator with ability to empathize with customers

-Detail-oriented with the ability to work fluently with large and diverse datasets

-Highly proactive and an ability to work both independently and as part of the team

-Exceptional integrity, highly intelligent and strong work ethic

Nice to Haves

-Familiarity with and passion for companies in the CPG space

-Experience with asset-based lending and/or small business lending

-Experience with outbound cold-calling

-Proficiency in SQL
