Community Engagement Associate

San Francisco, CA

CircleUp is a technology company on a mission to help entrepreneurs thrive by giving them the capital and resources they need. CircleUp Growth Partners is a $125m venture fund within CircleUp with 24 portfolio companies, with the aspiration of 30 by mid-year and 100+ in the next three years.  There will be an opportunity to grow this role to work with other businesses within CircleUp, including industry leaders leveraging our Helio Access Program.   We are a firm built on technology, with our proprietary machine learning and predictive analytics platform -- Helio -- being a driving force behind sourcing and analyzing investments, and providing post close value add to the entrepreneurs we support.  However, there is a need to build on that, developing an inclusive and value-add community for the entrepreneurs we support.  We are excited to hire a Head of Community to help us develop and shape this resource for the founders we serve.   CircleUp was recently honored as one of Fast Company's Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Data Science and has been named a CB Insights FinTech 250, a Top 5 Most Disruptive Company in Finance by CNBC, and to the Forbes FinTech 50. Founded in 2012, CircleUp is headquartered in San Francisco and backed by Union Square Ventures, GV, Canaan Partners, QED Advisors, and others.

In that vein, approximately 20% of this role will focus on working with the CEO and internal stakeholders to develop an external communications strategy, including overseeing the execution of strategy (by others) and conducting quality control checks.
