CircleUp recently closed a $125 million discretionary fund, CircleUp Growth Partners and has launched a lending platform, CircleUp Credit Advisors. Both groups are backed by leading institutional Limited Partners.

We are seeking a Director level position focused on Institutional Business to lead capital raising efforts with our largest institutional investors. This role will be the latest addition to a growing Institutional Business team that seeks to scalably and repeatedly deliver institutional capital to CircleUp’s suite of products. Candidates will be expected to be an immediate key contributor to bring in new LP commitments for all of CircleUp’s products, including for our CircleUp Systematic fund raise in 2019.

The right candidate is on a sharp upward trajectory in their current role of raising capital from institutional LPs - demonstrated by a strong track record of fundraising success - but is also looking for a different path. This role presents a very unique opportunity for an exponential leap for someone who is energized to tenaciously grow CircleUp’s list of investors and help write the roadmap of a fast-paced technology company. Ideal candidates are very metrics driven, have world-class creativity, resiliency to deliver results and solve problems.

You will be responsible for:

  • Immediately lead LP sourcing, meeting execution, and required follow up to secure institutional LP commitments start to finish
  • Maintain relationships with new investors after successful commitments
  • Lead coordination across teams to ensure proper execution of key deliverables
  • Actively participate in investment product development to deliver on LP demands

 

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • 7+ years of post college experience in private equity or venture capital investor relations or fund placement.
  • Successful track record of raising capital from institutional limited partners.
  • Deep experience leading sourcing, meeting execution and relationship cultivation with LPs. Strong track record of converting LPs to investment.
  • Passion to build something new and innovative.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
