About CircleUp:

CircleUp harnesses the power of machine learning and predictive analytics to discover the fastest-growing companies in the consumer & retail sector. We want to bring the data-driven revolution that has occurred in the public markets to the private markets, starting with consumer & retail. Our mission is to help entrepreneurs thrive by giving them the resources and capital they need.

We are backed by top-tier investors including Google Ventures, Union Square Ventures (backers of Etsy/Kickstarter), and the ex CEOs/Presidents of Goldman Sachs, Thomson Reuters, and Capital One.

About the Role:

Our Credit team provides affordable and flexible working capital financing to high-growth consumer brands. The program is quickly scaling and we are looking to hire an Executive to manage this growth and share in the leadership for the overall performance of the program.

We're looking for someone who feels deep empathy for our borrowers, seeks truth in data and can translate the combination of the two into an amazing borrower experience, from crafting a user's first touch with CircleUp to helping our own passionate customers get the word out.

This role is ideal for someone with a track record of leading teams in a dynamic growth environment and a desire to build a new platform for small business lending.

Responsibilities:

  • Define messaging and voice that is consistent across all channels, including onsite, collateral, performance marketing and events
  • Oversee the development of go-to-market strategies that leverage Helio, our technology platform, to identify and nurture promising leads for our credit business.
  • Architect and optimize borrower engagement, including segmentation, first-time user experiences, retention, cross-sell and re-engagement

We get really excited about those with:

  • Established track record of leading high-growth teams through adversity in order to achieve goals
  • Demonstrated ability to develop talent, and rally a team around a vision, while also being able to iterate on tactics to achieve goals
  • Direct experience leading customer research, qualitative tools for identifying and segmenting attractive customers
  • Marketing expertise, especially those related to small businesses.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with A/B experiments and multi-variate testing
  • Resourceful self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively
  • 7+ years of experience with a proven history of success in growth related roles
