Who we are looking for:

CircleUp is looking for an experienced and highly motivated attorney to join our dynamic legal team, specifically someone that will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. In this role, you will serve as a the main contact for the credit business and be expected to understand the structure of the business and its relationships, as well as managing day to day transactional agreements. You will support the business development team and work closely with the Credit Officer to finalize borrower agreements and continue to grow the business. You will be expected to acquire an intimate understanding of the Credit team’s organizational dynamics and business operations, build positive client relationships with diplomacy, have sound independent judgment and business acumen, and provide insightful, timely counsel to a broad range of legal and business matters.

Minimum Required Experience:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to at least one U.S. state bar and be willing to become registered in-house counsel or licensed in California.
  • 4-7 years of experience. This role will report to our Senior Counsel.
