Business Development Representative, Credit

We are seeking a Business Development Representative to help drive CircleUp Credit’s new lending product. We are looking for someone who excels in a fast-paced environment with the creativity and resiliency to deliver results and solve ambiguous problems.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Being the first touch point for our future customers
  • Qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Contacting high potential clients through calls and emails
  • Managing a pipeline of applicants, with the goal of re-engaging the borrower in different parts of the sales funnel and making sure CircleUp is their first choice
  • Nurture prospects back into our sales funnel
  • Helping to design the early stage customer engagement process for CircleUp’s Credit program
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Partnerships, and Product to support and build out our credit initiatives

Requirements: 

  • 6+ months of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Customer Experience (this is an entry level position with opportunity for growth)
  • Motivated by success in numbers, and driven to achieve targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding time management skills and proficiency at multitasking
  • Highly proactive and an ability to work both independently and as part of the team
  • Exceptional integrity, highly intelligent and strong work ethic 

Nice to Haves: 

  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles, terminology and concepts
  • Familiarity with and passion for companies in the CPG space
  • Experience with asset-based lending and/or small business lending
