Head of Sales, Credit

We are seeking a Head of Business Development to help drive CircleUp Credit’s lending product. We are looking for someone who has a proven track record, strong sales execution and excels in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have the creativity and resiliency to deliver results, solve ambiguous problems, and help write the roadmap for CircleUp Credit for years to come.

  • Serve as a key leader on our Credit team to drive responsible growth in CircleUp’s lending business 
  • Manage a team of client facing team members, including inbound, outbound, and relationship management sales functions
  • Own training and development for our customer facing teams
  • Design new sales strategies, more efficient processes, and go to market approach to help us scale in a thoughtful, collaborative fashion
  • Drive performance by lifting conversion numbers for new applications in our funnel
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Partnership and Product teams to support and build new customer acquisition


  • 6-10 years of experience with a proven track record of strong execution and leadership / management experience of a direct sales team
  • Passion for metrics, operational efficiency, and process; detail-oriented with the ability to work fluently with large and diverse datasets
  • A skilled project manager who can inspire the team while holding themselves accountable for performance
  • Ability to think creatively to help us tackle new go to market approaches with our sales team
  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles, terminology and concepts
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and quickly shift from high-level planning to day-to-day execution
  • Exceptional integrity, highly intelligent and strong work ethic

Nice to haves:

  • Familiarity with and passion for companies in the CPG space
  • Experience with small business or asset-based lending and/or financial technology
