General Manager - Equities

Remote / San Francisco

CircleUp is seeking a General Manager to lead the Equities business. CircleUp is a technology company that leverages Helio, a data aggregation and machine learning platform, to power every stage of private investing from sourcing and diligence to value creation. CircleUp is on a mission to help entrepreneurs thrive. CircleUp is looking for a leader who can manage and scale the company’s equity program to billions in AuM by leveraging technology. This person will be expected to ensure the successful fundraise and deployment of future vehicles and design the expansion strategy as CircleUp evaluates new asset classes and new markets.

CircleUp is bringing the data-driven revolution that occurred in the public markets to the private markets, starting with consumer & retail. CircleUp has two high-performing fund vehicles -- CircleUp Growth Partners and CircleUp Credit Advisors -- built on top of the technology platform. The funds are backed by top-tier institutional investors including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and large asset managers. CircleUp is now in the process of raising a second equity vehicle, which will build on the success of the first $125M equity fund, marked as top quartile for its vintage, with a broader mandate for venture stage investments and even greater adoption of data insights to generate performance across a larger portfolio. The General Manager of Equities will be one of the three P&L owners at CircleUp (alongside the GM of Credit and GM of Helio Access, CircleUp’s external technology solution) and will report to the CEO. This individual will have end-to-end responsibility for the Equities business, including strategy, fundraising, LP management, and oversight of the team and investment processes.

CircleUp is backed by Union Square Ventures, Google Ventures, Canaan Partners, QED, TPG, and Temasek, amongst others. CircleUp has pioneered a unique approach to investing by leveraging a world-class team of data scientists and engineers to build Helio, a powerful technology platform that tracks and makes actionable predictions on 1M+ private companies. CircleUp takes a quantamental approach to the private markets and uses Helio to enhance investment sourcing, evaluation, and value creation.
