Sam Blumenthal

Sam joined CircleUp in 2021 and serves as a Partner at CircleUp Growth Partners.  Before joining CircleUp, Sam worked in various investing roles with focuses ranging from early stage consumer brands to later stage distressed assets.  Alongside his position at CircleUp, Sam runs a content platform called Compounding Thoughts that interviews investors and founders and discusses the venture ecosystems—as well as profiles the creative outlets, contradictions and habits these individuals pursue in tandem to their careers. 

Outside of work, you’ll find Sam traveling (although that no longer is mutually exclusive), exploring new cuisines, playing pickup basketball on the Venice boardwalk and searching for his next book.
